Transition: Fall to Winter
The recent cold spell has us mentally transitioning from fall to winter. At The Workshop we are also in transition mode, wrapping up fall projects and prepping for the holidays.
Creative Kids on Friday morning, 10-11am, has many fun leaf and tree related projects. Sort of a farewell to fall. Bring your 2-5 year olds to explore five different art stations.
Exploring Creativity on Friday afternoon, 3:30-5pm, will look at painting with balloons and poetry. There are sure to be some interesting creations at this class!
Nuno Felting on Saturday morning, 10am -noon, provides the opportunity to make a beautiful piece of wearable art. This process in very unique, as are the beautiful fabric pieces that result. Looking forward to making a warm scarf for winter.
Fall Painting Party on Saturday night, 6:30-10:30pm, is a great time to hang out with friends, learn color mixing and perspective skills, and make a wall-worthy painting.
Linoleum Carving/Printing Christmas Cards, on Sunday afternoon, 1-3pm, takes card making up a notch. Learn how to transfer a design, carve a lino block, and print a set of Christmas cards.
Open Studio is also transitioning. We'll start taking down some of the fall projects and adding in card and gift making options. A small leather clutch and purse, painted/monogrammed dish towels, candles, leather cord bracelets with metal punched tag, large wooden signs, and picture frames are just some of the seasonal opportunities we are offering. A post just on seasonal opportunities will be coming next week.
