Kelsey Curkeet's drawing and watercolor classes have been so well received that we are adding a recurring Thursday night Drawing/Painting Workshop. Beginning Thursday, April 24, Kelsey will be available from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. to work with individuals on drawing and painting. If you don't know where to start, have questions, or are stuck on something, Kelsey will guide you through it. Bring in your own project or work with still life objects in the shop. Cost is $10, plus $3 if you need materials. Consecutive attendance is not required.

The seed starting class on March 29 was a hit. It feels like Spring when you can talk garden and get your hands dirty. Join instructor Kathy Raatz on April 23 or April 26 for Square Foot Gardening, the next class in our ongoing Urban Farms gardening series.
Are you wishing you were somewhere warm? Well, I can't magically transport you to a tropical destination, but you can have a little bit of the beach at The Workshop. This week we'll be doing projects with seashells during Open Studio.
You can paint the seashells, use the seashells to apply paint, glue the seashells to a jar or other item, add eyes to make a seashell pet, etc. As always, you are not required to do the project of the week during Open Studio. Feel free to bring in your own project or use our supplies however you like.
Wrap something in yarn during our Open Studio time this week. Wrapped bottles and cans make fun containers. Wrapped wire can be formed into just about anything from flowers to letters to vehicles...let your creativity flow!
*Please note that there will be no Open Studio on Sunday, March 23rd. The Workshop will be closed for a private party. Thank you.

Columbus Senior Center
First Tuesday of the month brought us over to the Columbus Senior Center this morning for our Senior Craft. We played around with the concept of Pointillism making pictures with dots of paint. Using stencils to guide and fingertips as applicators makes this a fun project that anyone can do.
This stencil, fingertip, Pointillism project will be featured during Open Studio at The Workshop this week. Our Open Studio hours are Tuesday 6-9pm, Wednesday and Thursday 10am-5pm, Friday 9am-noon and 3-8pm, Saturday 9am-2pm, and Sunday 1-4pm. During Open Studio we have work space for artists and crafters. We also have supplies and tools for visitors to use. Cost is $5 for up to 2 hours and $1 for each additional hour.
On Thursday, March 6th our Young Artists class begins.
