DRAWING SERIES — Mondays in February, 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
The Workshop is hosting a four week drawing series on Monday nights in February from 6:00-8:00pm. Class will begin with some warm up drawing exercises. Participants will work on contour, shading, perspective, and gesture drawing. Each evening will have a theme or topic for our primary drawing. The main focus is not on a finished product as much as on skill building. It is suggested to attend all the classes, as they build on each other and are progressively more difficult. However, the classes can be attended individually to accommodate those who are not able to commit to all four classes. Cost is $75 for the series of four classes (Feb. 4, 11, 18, 25), or classes can be attended individually for $20 per class. Space is limited, registration required. Instructor: Kelsey Curkeet.

GLASS MOSAICS -- by appointment
Occasionally we add glass mosaic workdays to the schedule, but this is a project you can come in any time to make. We prefer people to make an appointment to make sure there is space and time to complete your project.
All supplies will be available to make 5x7inch or 8x10inch faux stained glass mosaics. If participants prefer to work on a different project, they are welcome to bring other items such as trays, table tops, mail boxes, picture frames, etc. as a base for their mosaic. A 5x7 piece usually takes 2 to 3 hours; an 8x10 piece usually takes 3 to 4 hours. Cost is $25 for a 5x7, $35 for an 8x10.
The first part of the class will consist of gluing the glass pieces to the glass backing. Then the project requires about a half hour of time to sit and harden before grouting. Alternately, you could do the grouting at home with materials and instructions provided.
Children under 14 need to be accompanied by an adult.
