PORTRAIT DRAWING — Saturday, November 9th, 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Participants will work on portrait drawing by practicing blocking in, proportion, shape, placement of features, shadow shapes, angles, and curvature. The main focus is not on a finished product as much as on skill building. Cost is $20. Space is limited, registration required. Instructor: Kelsey Curkeet.

Join Becky for a four week beginner ceramics class. Participants will create decorative and functional pieces. Each of the first three weeks will include guided hand building projects along with time to work on individual projects. The third week will introduce glazing. The final week will be devoted to finishing the glazing.

Cost is $70. Firing and all supplies are included. Ages 10 years and older. Limited to 6 participants.

FELTED FLOWER — Sundays, July 28th and August 4th, 3:00 - 5:30 p.m.

Join Dianne Bubolz in creating a needle felted sunflower picture. Cost for the two part class is $45. This will include both days, three needles, soy foam mat, all fibers and prefelt base, and use of wet felting tools. Participants should bring one bath towel, one hand towel, and a sharp scissor. If they have felted before and have a multi needle tool, bring that also. In the first class we will lay out and needle the background fibers to the prefelt base, then we will wet felt it to make a sturdy base for needle felting the sunflower. The second class will be blending fibers and needle felting the sunflower. Each class is scheduled for 2 1/2 hours; however, some participants might take a little more or less time depending on how quickly they move through the project.

WATERCOLOR SERIES — Saturdays in July/Aug, 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

The Workshop is hosting a four session watercolor series on Saturday mornings in July/August from 10:00 am to 12:00pm. Participants will begin by learning and reviewing basic watercolor techniques. The 5x7 projects include flowers, plants, animals, and landscapes. Subject matter will be based on the interest of the participants. It is suggested to attend all the classes, as they build on each other and some projects might take more than one class to complete. However, the classes can be attended individually to accommodate those who are not able to commit to all four classes. Cost is $75 for the series of four classes (July 6, 13, 20, and Aug 3) or $20 each when attended individually.

BARN QUILT ON WOOD — contact to schedule


Join Becky Weidner in creating a barn quilt square to decorate your wall (interior). We will be taping and painting to make these one of a kind creations. Choose from two sizes:
24 x 24"              $45
11.25 x 11.25"   $35
You can pick and/or mix your paint colors. Different patterns will be available for reference or feel free to bring in your own; Becky will help you figure out the math to get your pattern sized to your board.

JEWELRY CLASS contact to schedule


Join us for an evening out at The Workshop. Create a beaded bracelet or sun catcher with memory wire and a necklace pendant with a glass cobachon. All ages are welcome. Cost is $12 per person or one punch on a six class pass.



Learn how to transfer the beauty of nature to make art using a hammer, flowers, and leaves. Becky Weidner will share her process of flower pounding, along with tips and tricks. Participants can practice flower pounding while making bookmarks and small art pieces. After refining skills, everyone is welcome to use a dish towel to create a larger art piece. These pieces of art can be framed; however, due to fading, it is suggested to photograph the pieces to preserve the brightness of color in the finished art works. Cost is $25 per person.

INDIGO DYEING EVENT - Contact to schedule a class

The Workshop will be mixing up a new indigo vat to dye t-shirts and other fabric pieces. Participants can bring fabric to dip or can dye one of The Workshop t-shirts. Join us for this textile adventure.

Cost is $20 per person.



Saturday, October 5th, 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.

Watch demos for fluid acrylic pour painting and string pull painting. Decide which type of art you want to make. Create beautiful abstract art by pouring and squirting acrylic paint on canvas. Add paint mediums and silicon for different effects. Or create flowers by dipping string in paint and pulling across the canvas. Instructor: Becky Weidner. Cost list is as follows based on the size and number of canvases each participant chooses to make.

OIL PAINTING WISCONSIN MEADOW — Sunday, October 20th, 4:00 - 7:00 p.m.

Join Rod Hill in creating a fall scene with oil paint on a 12 X 16 canvas. Special focus for this class is the structure of the covered bridge along with the fall foliage in bushes and trees.

ACRYLIC PAINTING CLASS — Contact to schedule a class


Join Kelsey Curkeet for an acrylic on canvas experience. Learn perspective and color mixing skills while creating a wall-worthy painting. Preregistration required. Cost is $35 per person. Sign up on sign up genius. Pay the day of the class, cash or check only please. 

CHAINMAILLE ORNAMENT - Contact to schedule a class


Participants will learn how to weave together jump rings to make a complex looking ornaments. Each person can make 2+ ornaments. All materials are included.

Instructor: Julianne Moss.

Cost: $20 per person. Preregistration required.

BURLAP FLOWER WREATH - Contact to schedule a class

Participants will create a flower wreath using colored burlap squares. Finished wreath measures approximately 20 inches. Cost for the class is $38 per person. Different color options are available.

CONCRETE LEAF CASTING -- Contact to schedule a class (seasonal)


Friday, October 4th, 2:30 - 4:00 p.m.

Concrete leaf casting is an easy and fun way to add a stepping stone or birdbath to your landscaping. Participants will learn to preserve rhubarb leaves in cement in this hands-on class. The natural depressions and veins of the leaf are captured in amazing detail, and once cured, the casting can be used ornamentally in the home or garden. Cost is $30 per person.

GLASS MOSAICS -- Contact to schedule a class

Saturday, October 12th, 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

All supplies will be available to make 5x7inch or 8x10inch faux stained glass mosaics. If participants prefer to work on a different project, they are welcome to bring other items such as trays, table tops, mail boxes, picture frames, etc. as a base for their mosaic. A 5x7 piece usually takes 3+ hours; an 8x10 piece usually takes 4+ hours. Cost is $30 for a 5x7, $40 for an 8x10. Sign up on signup genius. Pay the day of the class, cash or check only please.

The first part of the class will consist of gluing the glass pieces to the glass backing. Then the project requires about an hour of time to sit and harden before grouting. Alternately, you could do the grouting at home with materials and instructions provided.

Children under 14 need to be accompanied by an adult. 

SEWING INSTRUCTION -- by appointment

Diane Dhein is offering sewing instruction for all levels at The Workshop. Whether you need help with a specific project or want to learn how to use your sewing machine, Diane can be of assistance. She is experienced in pattern design, teaching sewing classes, technical writing, and so much more. The cost for private lessons is $12/hour plus the $5.00 Workshop studio fee. Contact Diane at to schedule an appointment.
