homeschool art class
Tuesdays 1:15-2:30pm
Class in a wide variety of art media. Emphasis: Drawing, painting, mixed media, 3D & sculpting, textile fiber art, printmaking techniques.
All ages welcome. Participants must be 6 years old to attend without an adult.
Cost is $14.50/class plus tax or $70/6 class pass plus tax.

Sept 1—Sunflowers: Monoprint colorful papers with a geli printing plate. Cut out flower petals to glue on a wood board to make a beautiful sunflower.
Sept 8—Ant picnic: Create on canvas using paint or collage paper to make a scene of ants carrying picnic food.
Sept 15—Stuffed bugs: Design your own bug stuffy using fabric scraps. Participants will use hot glue to secure pieces.
Sept 22—Van Gogh fireflies: Draw fireflies in Van Gogh style with oil pastels on black paper.
Sept 29—Fall fairy houses: Paint a wood block and decorate with all the little extras to turn it into an amazing fairy house.
Oct 6—Spiderwebs: Design spider webs with paint pens. Cut/glue or draw spiders, flies, etc.
Oct 13—Wooden jack o' lantern: Paint a 2x10 to look like a pumpkin. Paint on eyes, mouth, and nose by hand or using stencils.
Oct 20—Decorated witch hats: Add flowers, fabric, paint, feathers, etc. to decorate a witch hat.
Oct 27—Stencil painting pumpkin: Decorate a canvas using paint and stencils. Use a pumpkin tracer to block the shape and paint the background a solid color.
Nov 3—Wood owl: Turn a piece of wood into an owl using paint, lids, nut, bolts, feathers, etc.
Nov 10—Above and below ground painting: Use watercolors to create a garden scene or plants and creatures above and below ground level.
Nov 17—Ship in a bottle collage: Monoprint colorful papers with a geli printing plate. Collage water, boat, sails, etc. to create a bottle shaped scene.
Nov 24—Fabric pie: Create an addition to your Thanksgiving "dessert" table using felt and other fabric pieces.
