We do have lots of great classes at The Workshop this summer. Click here to find out about summer classes. But we also have this really fun challenge for everyone, even if you don’t live close enough to come in to the studio.
The Summer Art Challenge is a challenge to yourself to create art every week. Each Monday we will post a theme for the week on our Facebook page. Use the theme to create however many pieces of art you've decided as your personal challenge. I'm going to challenge myself to do one black and white and one colorful art piece each week, but you can do just one or five or however many you want. You can draw, paint, collage, take photos, stamp, print---use whatever medium you want.
The themes will be posted each Monday. Simply share a photo of your art in the comments of the theme Facebook post. At the end of the week, the art from the comment with the most likes/hearts will get posted on our website as that week's winner. But it's not really about the competition; it's about the process. Watch how your skills improve over the summer and get inspired by looking at everyone else's art.
The first theme will go out on Monday, June 3rd at 8am.
